Biography:

     Dr. Sanjeev Suratwala joined Colonial Orthopaedics in 2010. He attended medical school at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in New York. Dr. Suratwala completed his orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the Columbia University Medical Center in New York and received his fellowship training in spinal surgery at the prestigious Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
     He gained additional experience in complex disorders of the lumbar and cervical spine through a selective travel fellowship sponsored by the Cervical Spine Research Society. His travel included work experiences with Professor Daniel Chopin at the famed Institute Calot in Berck, France, Professor Jürgen Harms in Karlsbad, Germany and Professor Dieter Grobe in Zurich, Switzerland.
     He also worked with Dr. K. Daniel Riew at the Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Suratwala is Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a candidate member of the Scoliosis Research Society. He has a special interest in minimally invasive spinal surgery and specializes in complex disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
